Everything Advance Construction Pros handles in Kansas City, Kansas

Everything we handle, grouped exactly the way our Google Business Profile is. Roof, siding, gutters and trim on the outside, the two rooms people actually remodel on the inside, and all of it done by our own crews from one phone number.

How this is organised

Each heading below is one of the six categories on our Google Business Profile, and under it are the services we list there. If you are not sure which one your job falls under, call and describe it, we will tell you.

Start with the symptom, not the service

Most people do not call a contractor because they have decided they need a particular trade. They call because something is wrong and they are not sure what caused it. On the outside of a house the cause is often not where the symptom shows up, so here is how we usually sort it out before anyone quotes anything.

  • A stain on a ceiling or an upstairs wall. This is the one people assume is the roof, and often it is, but it can just as easily be flashing around a chimney or a pipe boot, or a gutter backing up under the shingle edge. Worth a look before assuming the worst: roof repair or a roof inspection.
  • Water pooling near the foundation after rain. Almost never the roof. This is water leaving the roof correctly and then being dumped in the wrong place, which is a gutter and downspout problem.
  • Soft or peeling wood at the eaves. Trim that has been getting wet for a while. The repair is fascia and window wrap, and the reason it got wet usually needs fixing at the same time.
  • Grit in the gutters, or shingles that look curled from the ground. That is age rather than damage, and it points at roof replacement rather than a patch.
  • Anything immediately after a storm. Document it first, then get it looked at: storm and hail damage.
  • Not sure at all. That is what an inspection is for, and it is how most of our jobs start.

Why one company handles the whole outside

The outside of a house is one system, and the parts fail in a chain. A roof that has been leaking quietly for two winters has usually taken the fascia with it. Gutters that were never sized for the roof above them put water where siding meets the foundation. Replace the roof on its own and you can leave the cause of the next problem in place.

The practical version of this is scheduling. If a roof is coming off, that is the moment to deal with the gutters and the trim behind them, because the access is already there, the crew is already on site, and the work costs less as one visit than as three. We will tell you when that is worth doing and when it is not. Sometimes the gutters have another eight years in them and the honest answer is to leave them alone.

It also means one number to call when something goes wrong afterwards. There is no arguing about whether the roofer or the gutter company caused a problem, because it was the same crew.

What we do not do

Worth being straight about, because it saves everyone a phone call. We are a roofing and exterior company that also does interior remodeling. We do not do plumbing, we do not do electrical work, and we do not finish basements. If a listing somewhere says otherwise, it is out of date.

If a job needs a trade we do not cover, we will say so on the first visit and point you at someone who does it properly, rather than taking the work and subcontracting it out to whoever is available. On a roof or an exterior, the crew doing the work is ours.

If you are still not sure which of these you need, that is completely normal, and it is not something you have to work out before calling. Call or text (913) 725-8790, describe what you are seeing, and we will tell you what it sounds like and what it would take to look at it properly.
